We gathered questions in a totally different way this time; in-game! We’re always in ROBLOX for one reason or another, and users provided us with plenty of questions to answer about a wide range of ROBLOX topcis. This time, John Shedletsky, ROBLOX’s Creative Director, addresses inquiries about spell checking features, a Ghost mode, a donate button, updates about our new lighting system, and much more.

We pulled these questions from this active thread, which we’ll continue to keep an eye on.

Every so often, we ask our users to let us know what they’d like to see in ROBLOX, then respond to some of the most insightful comments and pertinent questions. This time, John Shedletsky, ROBLOX’s Creative Director, talks about a variety of ROBLOX topics, including expanded terrain dimensions, enhancements to ROBLOX GUI creation, vehicle seat functions, server-based data persistencescript protection, group moderation and 13+ groups, dedicated image hosting and a feed for updates to items in the ROBLOX catalog. Building

Unknown: Larger terrain maps. Currently, you can make terrain a maximum 526 by 526 voxels. I wish this would be expanded so I could make more with my friends! I also would like to see terrain strength, or the ability for it to withstand “X” damage before being destroyed (e.g., grass is 100 strong and cement is 500 strong).

Muddy101: Single player servers. I would love to make a story-driven game, especially on a platform I already know really well. I can’t really do that while building with the fullest detail if I cannot isolate a player. Single player servers would solve this problem, I feel.

Smakdown21: Allow Game Passes to be purchased more than once. This way, a player can buy in-game currency. For example: five Robux gets you a Game Pass worth 500 game points. If you buy five of them, you will have 2,500 game points.
